SAAQ and refusal to reimburse medical treatment
If the SAAQ informs you that it stops paying for your treatments on the grounds that you are consolidated, not only is it important to challenge this decision with your lawyer, you must continue your medical treatment if you still deem it necessary – whether physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychotherapy or other.

SAAQ and personal help at home
If you are unable to take care of yourself and perform your household tasks, from the simplest (dressing) to the most complex (washing your floor or moving), you can ask the SAAQ for personal help at home.
The SAAQ will send you a self-assessment grid to be completed by yourself on your ability to carry out your activities of daily living. Following receipt of your self-analysis, she will normally have you assessed and a decision on your degree of disability in connection with home help will be made. The SAAQ uses an assessment table of your abilities established by an occupational therapist to determine whether or not you are entitled to personal assistance at home.
