Mtre Brault joined our firm as a Québécois Bar School student in 2024. He completed his internship with our litigation team, where he quickly distinguished himself by his intellectual rigor, his legal sensitivity and his ability to navigate complex files with ease.
Today, Mtre Brault represents clients mainly in civil matters, focusing a significant part of his practice in the field of class actions. He intervenes in large-scale actions involving specific legal and factual issues, both for victims of fundamental rights violations and for consumer groups confronted with abusive commercial practices. His ability to identify the key elements of a case, to simplify legal issues for his clients, and to develop innovative strategies makes him a valuable asset to our firm.
Before becoming a lawyer, Mtre Brault deepened his thinking on restorative justice and human rights. As a research assistant at the Canada Research Chair in Human Rights and International Restorative Justice, he contributed to the writing of a book on reparations for human rights violations, by conducting a comparative analysis of the right to equality.
At the same time, Mtre Brault worked at the Institut québécois de réforme du droit et de la justice, where he wrote a report on the legal framework of artificial intelligence, more specifically in the area of professional liability, confirming his strong interest in civil law and liability issues.
His perseverance, commitment to social justice, and academic excellence earned him a nomination for the prestigious Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award in 2022.
Mtre Brault is fluent in French and English, as well as Spanish at an intermediate level.
