What is in the agreement?
Under the agreement, a credit valued at $75.00 will be made available by participating dealers to all eligible persons for the agreement.
How do I know if I am eligible for a credit?
The agreement applies to all persons who have purchased or leased a vehicle from a participating dealer during the following periods:
For Group A – Between November 21, 2017 and May 5, 2021, inclusively;
For Group B – Between May 5, 2018 and October 22, 2021, inclusively;
For Group C – Between May 29, 2018 and November 15, 2021, inclusively;
For Group D – Between July 31, 2018 and January 17, 2022, inclusively.
Who are the participating dealers?
The dealers participating in the cartel are those identified in the dealer list.
What is credit used for?
The credit may be used by an eligible person at the dealership with which he or she has done business for the purchase of any good or service offered in his or her branch, for example, a car, parts or accessories, mechanical and maintenance services, etc., provided that he or she pays the balance of the purchase price of the desired good or service. The credit may also exceptionally be used with a third-party entity in certain cases, including when the participating dealer does not offer automotive maintenance or mechanical services, all within the parameters more fully detailed in the Agreement.
When will I be able to claim my credit?
Eligible dealers will have a maximum period of 120 days from the official court judgment notice, which is to be issued soon, to make the credit available.
How do I claim my credit?
Eligible individuals will simply visit their dealership and request to apply their credit at the time of purchase. No proof of purchase or lease will be required, but proof of identity may be required. Eligible individuals are encouraged to contact their dealer in advance to confirm their eligibility for the agreement, the address of the participating store and their identity verification process.
What is the expiration date of the credit?
The credit has no expiry date and can be used at any time by the eligible person.
Can I transfer my credit to a third party?
An eligible person may transfer provided that they make a prior request to the dealer.
Can I exchange my credit for cash?
Credit has no cash value and cannot be exchanged.
