Mtre Chantal Perreault, LL.M., Ad.E.

Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1981 and holder of a Master of Laws, Mtre Chantal Perreault devotes her practice to advising and assisting defence professionals during investigations or disciplinary complaints and offers training in professional law with a rigor and dedication that have earned her the highest distinctions from her peers. Recognized for her cutting-edge expertise and exceptional contribution to the profession, she received the prestigious distinction of Advocatus Emeritus (Ad.E.) in 2009, the same year that the Canadian Bar Association awarded her the Jules-Deschênes Award.

Mtre Perreault has a 360-degree vision of professional and disciplinary law. Her unique experience is not limited to a single angle of the system. From 2015 to 2020, she served as President of the Disciplinary Councils of the Professional Orders of Quebec (Administrative Judge), where she rendered 151 decisions on guilt and sanctions. Previously, she acted as Syndic ad hoc for the Barreau du Québec, conducting investigations, supervising conciliation and litigating disciplinary complaints. She has also been at the heart of regulatory improvement as a professional lawyer at the Research and Legislation Department of the Barreau du Québec, where she drafted or advised the Barreau du Québec on draft regulatory or legislative amendments.
